A team of computer scientists and sociologists, in collaboration with Google DeepMind, has created this AI, which uses responses from an interview to generate a digital personality simulation. The findings, published on arXiv, show how the system leverages ChatGPT's capabilities to analyze speech patterns and behaviors during the interview, then replicates those traits with about 85% accuracy in subsequent responses.
Researchers validated the AI's accuracy by comparing its simulated responses to those given by the person in a follow-up test using the same set of questions. This technology has the potential to revolutionize sociological research by significantly cutting down the time and resources traditionally required for surveys and data analysis.
